Our story
In 1994, Swiss-American engineer Larry K. Legg set out from his garage in Ohio with a simple idea: precision hand tools could be smaller and easier to carry without giving anything up. Inspired by the Swiss tradition of careful craftsmanship, he named the company Swiss Tech.
The beginning
Small tools. A bigger vision.
SwissTech’s story began with Larry K. Legg, a man with Swiss and American roots and a passion for precision. His ambition was simple: to create remarkably small multitools that delivered real functionality without compromising on craftsmanship.
That focus became the foundation of SwissTech. Larry’s designs found their audience, and several of his innovations were patented. Small enough to carry anywhere. Clever enough to make a difference.

A new chapter
SwissTech was later acquired by one of the world’s largest manufacturers of hand tools and machinery. This opened a new chapter for the brand, combining its heritage of compact, practical design with the manufacturing expertise to take it further.
Carried forward
Bringing SwissTech to Europe
Six years ago, Christoffer saw an opportunity to bring SwissTech to Europe. The range needed a fresh direction, but its foundation was strong: a level of quality that stood out, and the potential to build something lasting.
He took the chance.
What followed was a full year of development, rethinking the products, redesigning the packaging and shaping a clear promise: exceptional quality at a price within reach.
Today, Christoffer’s name appears on the packaging. To him, that is a personal commitment to the products inside, and one he makes with confidence.

In 2027, we’re taking SwissTech further. Our ambition is to bring our gear to more stores across Europe, develop new products and keep improving the details that matter in everyday use.
As we grow, our promise stays the same: outstanding quality, practical design and a fair price. Every new product must earn its place in the range—and be something we’re proud to put our name on.
We’re building SwissTech for the long run. With close retailer partnerships and a growing community of people who use our products, we’ll keep listening, learning and turning that experience into better gear.
